I enjoyed tonight's class and had a lot of fun learning a little bit about watersheds. I liked learning how to read topo maps and talking about how to teach our students to read topo maps. I am looking forward to completing some of the same labs with my students in my Biology II class this fall. I know I will use the book we were given in class today to show my students that they can go home today and make a few simple and easy changes to help make and keep our watershed healthy.

I am looking forward to the upcoming labs and learning ways to integrate everything we have learning into our classrooms!

I like to introduce (or reintroduce) everyone to topo maps and other mapping techniques because it is ultimately the foundation for most all watershed work.
